You CAN have a happy pet in Flagler County!
More and more people are bringing their four-legged friends everywhere they can, and in Flagler County that means alot because Flagler County is VERY pet-friendly! You can take “man’s best friend” everywhere you go -- in the parks, in a variety of accommodations and even on our beaches!
Flagler Beach has pet-friendly access, allowing dogs on the beach north of N. 10th Street and south of S. 10th Street. Doggies must be on leash no longer than 5 feet long. All that is asked in return is that visitors note the signs and remember to pick up after their pet to keep our beaches beautiful.

Doggie waste bags are available at each beach crossover and waste receptacles are also at each exit.
Eating with your pet:
Many restaurants in Flagler Beach offer eating areas where dogs and their owners can sit together. Business owners obtain permits from the city and follow state requirements, including keeping dogs out of people-only areas and posting signs letting dog lovers know the rules. Dogs need to stay outdoors and they can’t climb on seats or tables.

Patrons should always consult an employee regarding the business rules and restrictions before entering as they may vary.

A pet spa is for someone whose dog or cat is a beloved member of the family and is looking for other people to treat their beloved pet with the same love and special care. There are even pet spas that offer luxurious accommodations for those times when you are traveling out of state and can’t take your pet with you!

Start your day at any of our fine pet friendly businesses to eat breakfast with your pet while watching the sun come up over beautiful Flagler Beach.
After breakfast why not get some sand between those paws by heading down to the ocean!? Just make sure to stay between 10th street South and 10th street North.
When it’s time for lunch take your pick from any of our beachfront restaurants, enjoy their outdoor seating and lounge in the sun while enjoying a glass of something cool and of course a refreshing bowl for your furry companion!
