So while we were out today one of our main goals was to locate "Boardwise" a surf/skate shop Andrew was told is the place to go if you need to get hooked up with gear and stay in the know when it comes to the best places to skate & surf.
Being that it is only about two miles from where we are living and it was 70 and sunny today we enjoyed our (blustery) summer walk toward the shop. Once there, Andrew was in valhala! They have a very palatial set-up going and it turns out Edinburgh has not only a vibrant surf & skate culture, but a very healthy snowboarding community as well! Turns out last year they had the 5th deepest base of snow in the world, who would have thought?? Aside from a snow resort right up on their local mountian, they also have an indoor snowboard course with home blown snow 365 days a year!
Anyway, it looks like Andrew will have no excuses when it comes to being bored while Lili's in school this year.
