A Farewell for Audry

Hello all!
Our time in Scotland is coming to a close, but before we leave, Audry is flying back to Florida first. On her final day we decided to take her out for one final hike up Craiglockhart. Our plans of a full day walk around the woods were a bit washed out, but a shorter soggy walk is just as good.

Starting out it was just the normal Scottish drizzle, nothing we haven't been out in before. Audry suited up in her raincoat and we put on our not as nice weather gear. Muddy trails make for muddy paws, and there was plenty of mud.

Soon the skies decided to open up and it was no longer drizzling. As the rain poured down we quickly made the way back home, and as sodden as we were, it was also time for a beagle to get a bath. With much fuss and the look of abuse, the shower went down with no major problems, and the heated blanket not only helps a wet beagle dry, but puts her quickly to sleep.

Today, however, was probably the hardest day of our trip. We brought Audry out to the airport, and sent her back to Florida. The saddest part was putting her into her crate that was on a forklift. Never has a beagle look so dejected, but we know this is the easiest way, and her trip back home was safe with no issues. A few days and we shall be reunited in the steam of the south.

More soon!
