Hello All!
Well today we made "first contact" and attended Edinburgh Napier's student welcome events aka Orientation. It was taking place at the University's home campus Craiglockhart. After deciding to walk there, it was sunny and according to mapquest was only about a 25 min walk, we did what any well traveled cultural couple would do... we got hopelessly lost! We ended up wandering around what looked like the abandoned set of a Downton Abbey episode only to discover that we had come across the right campus, but the event was at the "new" center while the historic buildings were being rennovated/restored. THANKS goolge maps!

Detour aside and only 30 min late we joined the crowds at the New Craiglockhart Campus building. We spent a very informative afternoon collecting pamphlets and free tote bags, enjoying in house Starbucks and spending too much in the campus shop. Overall a good first fore into the university sceene and we did learn alot about "what to expect as an international student" and had some questions answered about the NHS and the volunteer opportunities on campus.

We treated ourselves to a bus ride home haha picked up two chocolate "yum-yums" (aka doughnuts) and got home just in time for tea! We are getting ready to start this "school" thing and Lili's classes start Thursday so wish us luck! Untill then - Doctor Who is on!!
