Today we decided to up our culture levels a bit and go check out the National Gallery down by Edinburgh Castle. We started the day by going for a walk down Rose Street (one of the oldest pedestrian streets in Edinburgh) and decided to have lunch at "The Rose".

Once we had our fill of fish and chips (Lili) and Steak & Ale Pie (Andrew) we headed off to the museum. It's a beautiful space with an impressive collection of Gothic, Medieval, and impressionist paintings. We got to see their Rembrandt & Da Vinci galleries and unfortunately had to opt out of the special "history of golf" exhibition as it was advance ticket purchase only... darn

Once we were finished at the Museum we got to watch the BBC set up for their nightly Referendum coverage "live from Edinburgh" haha don't worry we didn't stay to photo bomb any broadcasts! The vote this Thursday should prove quite interesting! Still too close to call!

Lastly we swung by Patisserie Valerie to pick up some goddies for dessert later! Yum!!

Thats all for now.
More soon!
