Today we went for a hike up at the Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill Local Nature Reserve. Andrew and Audry had scouted the reserve as a fun place to bring Lili on one of her days off school and today was just such a time!
It is a beautiful place, we are still enduring gorgeous weather but horrendus wind gusts! So aside from feeling like Dorthy & Toto we had a great day to be outside. Audry had a blast meeting all the pups, and had a few admirers following her around which she always revels in.
Andrew was right when he said the views couldn't be beat! It was so peaceful and you are enthralled with how far you can see. They have a compass at the peak with all of Edinburgh's "things to see" marked on it so you can have fun finding everything on the horizon.
As we made our way back down the hill we had a blast walking around the pond, seeing all the ducks & swans. Audry has recently found a new found love for ducks, and spends ages watching them whenever she can, the swans we keep her away from... she would loose...
More soon!
