Hello All!
One of Lili's classmates in the advertising department is a young man named Giovanni. He is a brilliant calligrapher in his spare time, and to our delight offered to hold informal intro classes after school for his classmates who were interested in learning!

Of course all of us took him up on his offer and a few of our teachers signed up too, Gio was even kind enough to invite Andrew to come join in too! He provided us all with pen nibs and pens, and we all bought ink.

Once the teachers were reminded they were now students and had to sit with the class (haha) we began. He is going to teach us the 4 basic calligraphic styles foundational, fraktur, copperplate & gothic rotunda over the next 4 weeks every thursday 3-5pm. YEY!

We all had a great first class and all agreed how nice it is to end off the week doing something hands on. We are so digital centric we forget how refreshing it is to be manual artists again!

More soon!
