First day of vacation!

Hello all!

Today was the first day of Lili's Christmas vacation so what did we do?? We went to school! Today we had our last calligraphy call courtesy of Giovanni, so we were more than happy to go into uni this afternoon, we love his class!

Today was fun, he taught us how to use alternative nibs, brushes and inks. We even learned how to make our own pen nibs out of old soda cans!

He says he is going to try and continue the class next term and we are very excited! We tried our hand at all the different lettering tools and once we picke oned we liked we played around, keeping a holiday theme.

It was also fun learning about using different color inks, even white ink on black paper.

Once done we went home to relax and hang our new ornament, one to forever remind us of Scotland once we return home to the states... I think this will do the trick! Hand painted right here in Edinburgh, doesn't get much better!

On a less exciting (except for Lili) she got her new Doctor Who shirt in the mail today!!

We capped the night off by writing this blog, with emotional support from a tuckered out pup. We have promised her a long hike in the next few days some time, whenever it's not raining or blustering out!
