Hello All!
As a wonderful Christmas gift, Andrew's parents got us BritRail passes! So today we decided to use them for the first time and check out Queensferry. What's in Queensferry you ask? Well to be specific there is a rather popular Scottish aquarium!

So being the genius duo that we are, we of course waited to choose a day with gale force wind advisories... sure why not? So we went off to the train station and headed out towards Queensferry. We got to go over the bridge spanning part of the firth of forth! Granted it was too foggy to see it but it was there none the less!

Once we got to Queensferry we took a remarkably picturesque, albeit wet, stroll to the Aquarium. They are known for their seals and their unique aquairum tunnel walk.

We do agree that the main draw is the tunnel walk, we went though it twice because the view is never the same twice and their sharks are stunning.

Once we finished the main exhibition spaces we were just in time to go see the seal feeding! No they don't feed the seals to the sharks they feed the seals all the fish you just saw inside the "less popular tanks".... just kidding.

Their big news is that for the past 15 years they have been home to only 2 seals, a mother & daughter duo who were unlucky enough to not get adopted by the Carribean aquarium... but as of last month, they now have two more seals who are learning to swim despite not being able to feel their flippers anymore! The new pair are a boy Bruno, 4 months and girl Cassie who is 1 year old (and adorable).

After our fun day out Lili was beginning to run into her cold medicine's 4-6hr limit and we headed home so she could gracefully face-plant onto the couch.

Tomorrow we are off to Glasgow so wish us luck!
More Soon!
