Hello All!
We took a break from being sick, being neck deep in homework and advantage of no rain & snow to go for an expedition.
We bundled up with Audry and went for a long hike up in the Braidhills. It's about a 4 mile round trip, and most of it is very up-hill but it was a sunny day and we were feeling adventurous.
Once we got to the base of the hills we began our climb, the afternoon light was beautiful and made everything glow amber.
The athleticism of it all helped keep us remarkably warm even in the winter weather, you build up quite a sweat climbing 108 stairs!
The views from all sides of the hills are really unmatched, the city below and the water in the distance, even the snow capped hills of the north can be seen.
Audry was having a blast meeting all the other dogs, we were apparently not the only ones with the idea to get out and about while we could before the snow hit!
There is a nice lookout at the peak where you can sit and take in the great views. We were lucky enough to have chosen a day with little to no wind, so we could take some time to look around up top without frost bite setting in!
The 108 stairs are alot more amenible on the way down! And you get to take your time looking at the town below.
Once we returned home we were all ready for a hot tea and a nap! But it was a truly enjoyable afternoon.
More soon!
