Hello all!

Today was a beautifully sunny one here in Edinburgh. The sun has been coy the past few days so it was a welcome change. The temperature was very bearable were it not for the insessent wind making it self known.

Since Lili is undertaking some fabric work and quilting as part of her final project, her tutor suggested she visit Dovecot Studios, a textile studio and gallery where they create some beautifully unique and detailed woven textiles.

We had a very good time watching the weavers work on their ongoing designs from the observation gallery, and Lili was left with a feeling her work was underachieving compared to the level of craft being displayed.

Either way it was a very inspiring and informative trip and well worth a visit if anyone finds themselves in the area.

After that we had a little wander around including taking a detour for Lili's sake to take a gander at the comic book store Doctor Who collection.

After Andrew was able to pry Lili away from a life size inflateable Dalek we headed back towards home. We had 4:40 tickets to see Selma, a movie Lili has been wanting to see for ages. It lived up to its accolades and is a moving watch if you have the chance.
