And the Day Shall Become Night...

Hello all!

Today was quite a unique day here in Scotland, we had a partial solar eclipse. It should have been named a mostly solar eclipse because at the high point all that was left was a side ways chesire cat smile. We didn't get the amazing corona ring that comes with the full eclipse but it still became dark and was a sight to behold. Andrew and Audry headed up early (by their standards) to Craiglockhart to make sure they could see the ecplise since it peaked at 9:30 am. The top of the hill was packed with adults and children alike, all staring at the sky and waiting.

Realizing that everyone was going to have the same pictures of a sun that looked like a sliver of moon, Andrew and Audry set about to find some more fun and unique spot on the hill to get some shots. Using the trees and the abondoned campus this is what they managed to come up with.

By 10 the eclipse had passed and they set back off to the house to wait for Lili to finish class and get some food. Audry immediately passed out on the couch and didn't wake up all day after her eventful morning. Lili on the other hand had to go to class and managed to get a completely different point of view. As she neared school and the eclipse started to reach closer to peak timing, she noticed everyone peaking inbetween buildings with phones poised in full sun worship position to get a glimpse and a photo of the event for their choice of social media.

Lili managed to get some fun snaps out of the classroom windows with the local rooftops setting the stage for the earily moon like sun.

The s celestial event came and went without the apocalypse joining in, so all went about the day, we went out for fish and chips for lunch and then back to embroidering to finish out the day.

More soon!
