Craiglockhart

Hello all!

Yesterday was not only the solar eclipse, but technically the first day of spring, and today spring came. The high peaked out in the low 50's, with the sun gracing us with a strong prescence all day long. To get ready for the long workdays ahead and give Lili's fingers a but of a break we hitched up Audry and went out exploring the hillsides.

We have recently discovered the true summit of Craiglockhart is the hill across the road from where we usually climb, so today was the day to head over. As we made our way up the steep climbed the day warmed up and everyone, especially Audry was feeling especially bouncy enjoying the warm weather and lack of wind.

We soon reached the top, and were greated with wonderful vistas of the Pentlands to the south. Apparently not as many people climb this hill so we decided to take full advantage of the sun and warm and stretched out for a bit. Warm enough for short sleeves, Andrew and Lili sat on the edge lounging around and soaking in the warm rays of sunshine. Not in any rush there was much time spent on not doing anything but relaxing and absorbing vitamin D, while Audry wandered and explored anything with reach of her long leash.

It was sadly time to get back to reality, so we begrudgingly trudge down West Craiglockhart and made our way home via East Craiglockhart, just to prolong the journey home and stave off embroidering for another 15 minutes.

Making our way home, donuts were a great reward for our 5 miles of awesomness, and consumed with tea before putting worked fingers through the paces of more embroidering.

More soon!
