A Day at the Museum

Hello all!

Sadly, family left last weekend, which means since Saturday we have not left the house, Lili has been working her fingers till they are sore quilting. That means today was break time, so we headed out to the National Museum of Scotland.

Andrew wanted to head over and check out the exhibit they have on video games, with over 100 playable setups, and Lili wanted to tthe fashion exhibition on cashmere and knit wear, her favorite. Sadly the video game exhibition was sold out for the day, and leaves this weekend, so Andrew probably won't get to play, but with all the little children running around it is probably for the better. Lili did the chance to view the fashion exhibition, full of comfy cashmere and sweaters from the 1920's onwards.

After a quick cuppa, we headed up to the rooftop terrace for a 360 view of the city. No matter how many times we see it, the skyline of Edinburgh always brings a smile to our faces, with the castle and all the church steeples, Edinburgh is a special place.

We then decided it was time to descend back into the museum, as our sun was fading and some rain clouds were moving in. As we perused the remaining exhibitions we found ourselves at everybodys favorite part of museums, the gift shop. Lili became immediately attached to a hairy coo, which has been named Percival. She shall wear it as a badge of Scottish pride when she returns home. The rain clouds parted and we headed back home with doughnuts for tea, and to get back to embroidering.

More soon!
