Meadows Festival

Hello all!
Today the wind dropped below 30 mph and the sun came out to visit, which was perfect because we had plans to hang out with Mary Ann and Saikou. One of the things Lili and Andrew have missed is their grill, so it was off to Waitrose to pick up a disposable grill and some food.

We met up at the Meadowns Festival, a short walk from the flat, out in a local park. The festival is a smaller affair with some carnival rides, local vendors selling everything from food to vintage clothes, and some live local music. We set up the blankets and grill by the small stage and fired up the grill.

Hanging out, talking, and of course cooking, we were having a good time. There is a downside to small disposable grills we found out, the charcoal stays hot for about 30 min, then it starts to cool off, and fast. It might have been the wind that was still steadily blowing, but either way, we made some good food and had fun. The local bands were also pretty good, and the few that weren't played quiet enough where it was easy to tune out.

A good day out with good friends and we are ready for the next adventure.
More soon!
